HOLDS CONSUMER ASSEMBLY

Yesterday
marked the “World Telecommunications Day”
and as part of its activities, The N.C.A held a Consumer Assembly
Programme at the International Conference Centre where major
Telecommunication Bodies in Ghana such as InternetGhana, Spacefon,
Kasapa, Ghana Telecom, Westel, Africa Online and many others
were present.The Minister for Communications Hon. Kan Dapaah
was Present at the Occasion.
The event was purposely held for communication consumers to
express their personal opinions on the nature and role of
communication in the country so far.
Some consumers raised numerous questions with regards to the
nature of the poor communication services delivered by some
major communication companies.
Most of the questions were answered by the Acting Director
of National Communications Authority, Major Tandoh and other
Major Communication leaders.
Major Tandoh said such event will be organised quarterly to
promote flexibility in the communications industry in the
country. He further stated that although this is the
first time such event is organised, he entreated the public
to embrace it with good will .
